A pencil and a sheet of paper can offer greater challenges, more joy and deeper frustrations than one could believe possible. As an artist I'm inspired by the works of other artists, from old Egyptian tomb murals to new American comics. Music, literature and films are also great sources of inspiration. Thanks to those who through the millenia have spent lives and talents on creating art that have the power to enchant us, thrill us and wake us up.

The images in the galleries are examples of motives and techniques. Some of the images are made on customer's demand, on some occasions accompanying texts, at other times on their own. The selection is by no means exhaustive - among the omissions are the fortysomewhat penguins that were drawn for a library anniversary... The majority of the images in the galleries are at any rate created for the pure pleasure of it.
